Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, the physician should be able to:

  • Describe and apply the newest developments in surgical and interventional approaches to effectivedialysis access
  • Choose the most appropriate surgical or interventional treatment options for dialysis access based on clnical trials, practice patterns, experience of thought leaders.
  • Identify and understand and the controversial areas in dialysis access based on clinical data.
  • Make clinical care decisions based on current evidence and established patient care standards.
  • Aprreciate the complex relationship between dialysis access and cardiovascular morbidiy and consider this relationship to affect better decision making in clinical practice.

Target Audience

CIDA will be of value to Surgeons, Radiologists and Nephrologists and medical staff who care for dialysis access patients.
